British Values
All schools are required to actively promote British Values.
These are:

Democracy which we encourage by allowing our pupils to be involved in sharing their ideas and participating in democratic processes such as voting for members of the school council and choosing activities for rewards afternoon.

Rule of Law which we promote through creating class charters with the children and helping pupils to see why we need rules. We discuss how society has rules and laws and we talk about what happens when these laws are broken.

Individual Liberty which we strive to nurture in our pupils encouraging them to develop their self knowledge, self esteem and self confidence through many activities in school. Our children know they have the individual freedom to make choices.

Mutual Respect and Tolerance which we encourage through promoting a wide understanding of different religions and beliefs. We enjoy celebrating different festivals such as Chinese New Year and Jewish Sukkot. We respect, understand and celebrate peoples individuality and diversity.
